This news article has appeared due to The New York Times accusing the movie producer of “decades of sexual harassment" which isn't the first time this producer has been linked to such claims. There have been rumours of this behaviour following him throughout his career but the victims have only just brought themselves to speak out, more and more victims have made their story public after hearing of others telling of their situations with the producer. The large amount of people within the industry who have spoken out on this issue makes it appear entirely true when reading the article, with some stating that he and his brothers are bullies. These statements make the film industry appear as even more of a sad state for females to work within as no one should have to put up with this kind of behaviour in their place of work and worry about speaking out due to the fear of loosing their job and damaging their entire career because of his large presence within the industry. This is an issue within the industry which the media has brought attention to for years and in today's society we would hope that this is something which should not be possible, but it still is due to the overpowering men within the industry. The film industry needs to look into the work place female cast and crew are having to deal with and make a change for the better to ensure their safety and happiness. This applies to male cast and crew members also, although there are very rarely any negative allegations made towards women from men. The film industry is very backwards with their gender imbalance and appears to be the only industry stuck within the times of men being more important and powerful than woman, most other industries have a higher amount of females in important roles which the film industry could learn a lot from.

"I feel that woman should have spoken out about these harassment's earlier which could have stopped many incidents happening. Although it is possible someone could have said something years ago but they may not have been taken seriously so I understand that it may have stopped them in their tracks, but one person pushing the truth could have stopped a lot of instances."
