This topic has been very dominant in the news within the last 12 weeks and it has engaged, interested and educated me a lot within this time. I knew very little about our oceans and this topic being popular has made me much more aware of the sustainable issues occurring within the world today. This has inspired me to help save our blue planet, a small method of doing this is by bringing further attention to the topic through adding visuals of polluted oceans into my major project and this final episode within the series could assist me. David Attenborough's voice over will now be added alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Morgan Freeman as he has a connection and respect from audiences. His opinion that we have the responsibility to care for our blue planet is entirely true as this issue is completely our fault which people need to realise. Hopefully the popularity of this currant topic will bring their awareness towards the issue, it has already gained the attention of United Nations as they have begin discussing methods of uniting and solving the issue together:
UN commits to stop ocean plastic waste By Roger Harrabin. BBC environment analyst, Nairobi. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-42239895
The big hope for the future is that the world will unite and save our beautiful blue planet from disappearing entirely.
Discussing this with anonymous, 2017:
"I have also watched this series and find it very interesting and informative but scary to see how much of an effect we are having upon the ocean. To think that there are still parts of the ocean that is undiscovered but yet we are destroying it before we even know about it."
